Oak Park Community Meals

As our largest food ministry, the weekly community meal at Oak Park serves anywhere from 200-300 meals a week to the Perkins community and surrounding area. Each Tuesday of the month there is a meal being served at Oak Park. On the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays of the month (and if there is a 5th), Lost Creek sponsors a drive-thru meal from 5:30-7:00pm. On the fourth Tuesday, 4Kids and Community hosts a sit-down supper from 5:30-7:00pm. There are no qualifications to receive either meal. 

Palm Sunday

Sunday, April 13 | 10:15am

Palm Sunday remembers Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, with crowds of disciples and children lining the way with palm branches. As they shout "Hosanna!" ("Save us!") they cry out to the one who comes to be their Savior.

Join us for this triumphant and exciting service. In the service, our children will lead a procession of palm branches at the beginning of worship, and we will have stirring and inspiring music.

Perkins Holy Week Service

Wednesday, April 16 | Christian Church of Perkins | 12:00pm

Every day during Holy Week, the Christian Church of Perkins hosts a Holy Week Service, with each day being planned and led by a different church in the community. On Wednesday, April 16, Lost Creek will lead the service with our friends at Eden Chapel and Perkins First UMCs. The service begins at 12:00pm, and a lunch is offered both before and after service, at 11:20am and 12:30pm.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 17 | 6:30pm

Maundy Thursday celebrates the institution of the Lord's Supper and Jesus' new commandment to love one another. "Maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, or 'commandment.' In the service, we will celebrate Holy Communion, as well as have the opportunity to participate in foot washing, recreating Jesus' act of washing his disciples' feet. The service will end with a stripping of the Sanctuary, as we prepare for Jesus' arrest, trial, and Crucifixion.

Good Friday Observance

Friday, April 18 | Stillwater First UMC | 12:10-12:50pm

On Good Friday, we will gather with other area United Methodists for a Good Friday observance. This brief time of devotion will also have a discussion element over lunch, as participants discuss what our churches have learned through our "Believe Like Jesus" Lenten worship series.

Easter Sunrise

Sunday, April 20 | 6:30am

United Methodists from Payne County will gather at Lost Creek's Oak Park venue for an Easter Sunrise service. This powerful service is worth waking up early for! We will gather before sunrise like the women on the first Easter who went to Jesus' tomb and found it empty. The sun will rise as we witness to Jesus' resurrection.

Easter Worship

Sunday, April 20 | 10:15am

Join Christians around the world in worshiping the risen Savior this Easter. With uplifting music, incredible fellowship, and a meaningful sermon and Holy Communion, you will leave the Sanctuary echoing the first Easter witnesses: "I have seen the Lord!"
