Welcome to HomeGroups! HomeGroups are Lost Creek's expression of the quintessential Methodist small group ministry, which has been a cornerstone of Methodism since its inception 300 years ago. HomeGroups are gatherings of 6-10 people who meet for one hour, once per week. At the gatherings, HomeGroup members take turns answering the transformational faith question: "How is it with your soul?"

HomeGroups are built on the promise that discipleship is a journey best taken together. Faith isn't something you have to figure out alone; in a HomeGroup, you have built-in companions. Plus, check out these reasons for joining a HomeGroup:
  • Just one hour per week - that's all the time that's needed to find rest for your soul and renewal for the week ahead.
  • No prep work - In HomeGroups, there's no lesson to prepare or book to read. You simply show up and dive in.
  • Flexibility - Each HomeGroup decides the time, location, and format that works best for them.

Plus, a Wednesday Option for HomeGroups!

We've created a set-apart time on Wednesday evenings for HomeGroups to meet. HomeGroups are absolutely free to meet whenever and wherever they would like, but we have made our Midweek HomeGroup ministry an option for any interested HomeGroups. The structure of the Midweek HomeGroup ministry is:
  • 5:30-6:00pm - Dinner for all participants in the Fellowship Hall (free-will donations accepted)
  • 6:00-7:00pm - HomeGroups split up throughout the church for their gatherings
  • Childcare available during the 6:00-7:00pm hour.

A Dedicated Meeting Space

Don't want to clean your home each week or find a quiet corner at a restaurant? Our Midweek HomeGroup ministry offers a consistent, welcoming place for your HomeGroup to meet.

Dinner

At our Midweek HomeGroup ministry, dinner for the whole family is provided! From 5:30-6:00pm, join us in the Fellowship Hall with everyone for a meal before splitting into HomeGroups. A free-will offering for the dinner will be taken.

Childcare Provided

Many of our HomeGroups involve either both sets of parents or single parents. At our Midweek HomeGroup ministry, children's programming is provided on-site, allowing parents to meet in their HomeGroups with peace of mind.

Even More Community!

In our Midweek HomeGroup ministry, you'll have a dedicated hour to meet with your HomeGroup. But if you come early for the dinner, you'll naturally build community with a wider group of people who love and care about you.
