Feeding bodies. Filling hearts.
One of the staples of service at Lost Creek is our many food ministries. From weekly community meals at Oak Park, to Operation LunchBox, and providing meals for the homebound at Christmas, Lost Creek is always helping feed those in our area. Below you will find information about our various food ministries along with information about how you can serve alongside us in feeding our communities.
Oak Park Community Meals
As our largest food ministry, the weekly community meal at Oak Park serves anywhere from 200-300 meals a week to the Perkins community and surrounding area. Each Tuesday of the month there is a meal being served at Oak Park. On the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays of the month (and if there is a 5th), Lost Creek sponsors a drive-thru meal from 5:30-7:00pm. On the fourth Tuesday, 4Kids and Community hosts a sit-down supper from 5:30-7:00pm. There are no qualifications to receive either meal.

Operation LunchBox
Operation LunchBox is a ministry of Lost Creek United Methodist Church, in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Summer Feeding Program, that fights childhood food insecurity by providing nonperishable, boxed meals for children up to age 18 in our area. This program ensures that children of our community have access to nutritious meals during the Summer Break period.
In 2024, Operation LunchBox distributed 10,450 meals throughout the course of the summer. Operation LunchBox will return in the summer of 2025.

Rise Against Hunger
Each year during Lent, Lost Creek unites with folks from Stillwater First UMC, Highland Park UMC, and Eden Chapel to raise funds for Stop Hunger Now, a worldwide hunger relief agency. This year, we were able to raise over $25,000 to provide meals for 100,000 people. Every May we gather with these churches for a "packaging day" in which we package meals for this cause. The date for the packing day is typically the first Sunday of May. More information about the Rise Against Hunger campaign will be released as we get closer to the Spring.
